Valentine´s Day song

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet
And so are you

These are the things
We often say
To each other on
Valentines Day

Cupid and hearts
And chocolates galore
Candy and cards say
'It's you I adore"

So if I ask you
"Will you be mine?"
Please say you'll be
My sweet Valentine

In ancient Rome
Father Valentine
Married the soldiers
'Though it was a crime

He followed his heart
And died for his cause
All in the name of love

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet
And so are you

These are the things
We often say
To each other on
Valentine's Day

In ancient Rome
Father Valentine
Married soldiers
'Though it was a crime

He followed his heart
And died for his cause
All in the name of love

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet
And so are you

So if I ask you
"Will you be mine?"
Please say you'll be
My sweet Valentine.

Six-time GRAMMY(r) winner Whitney Houston was one of the world's greatest pop singers of all time who leaves behind a robust musical soundtrack spanning the past three decades. Her powerful voice graced many memorable and award-winning songs. In addition to her six Grammys, Houston also won two Emmys and 22 American Music Awards.

Houston, the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston and cousin of singer Dionne Warwick, was known for her string of hits in the Eighties and Nineties, including "The Greatest Love of All," "I Will Always Love You," "How Will I Know" and "I'm Every Woman." She also had an acting career, appearing in The Bodyguard and Waiting to Exhale.

She was married to R&B singer Bobby Brown from 1992 to 2007, and the couple had one daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, born in 1993. The couple appeared in the reality TV series Being Bobby Brown in 2005.

In recent years, Houston was more known for her tumultuous personal life and struggles with addiction.

Her rendition of the national anthem at the Super Bowl in 1991 is often considered the standard by which other versions are judged.

O! say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O! say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

What is Mardi Gras? Who´s behind the mask?

Mardi Gras, also known as Shrove Tuesday, Carnival, and even Pancake Day in the UK, is an annual festival. Falling just before Lent, it traditionally marks the last opportunity for fun and feasting before 40 days of "self-denial". Mardi Gras means "Fat Tuesday" in French.

Festivities begin at the beginning of February, leading up to Mardi Gras day, and consist of parades, dancing in the street, costumes and masked balls. The modern Carnival tradition developed in Europe in the Middle ages, and is celebrated mainly in Roman Catholic communities in Europe and the Americas today. Some of the most famous celebrations are held in Nice (France), Cologne (Germany), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and New Orleans (USA)
